CLEVELAND — Nearly six months after her arrest over accusations at City Hall, 3News has learned Cleveland’s Chief City Planner Kim Scott has returned to work even as questions remain about her conduct and the city’s related investigation.
Scott was arrested in October 2025 and charged with felony theft, accused of stealing 117 hours of paid leave from the city of Cleveland by falsifying records to claim she was married to Farid Malik. The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office later dropped the charge, citing insufficient evidence to pursue a felony case.
