Cleveland Firefighters Charge Into Deadly Smoke On Garden Avenue

Cleveland firefighters pushed into thick, “deadly” smoke Monday evening, April 1, 2026, as they battled a house fire in the 2300 block of Garden Avenue and searched the home for possible victims, according to the local firefighters’ union. Multiple ladder and engine companies were called in, and the chief of the Fourth Battalion was on scene as crews worked in extremely hazardous conditions.
