CLEVELAND, Ohio — A year after widespread financial losses rattled Northeast Ohio hospitals, three medical systems ended 2025 with operating surpluses.
University Hospitals and MetroHealth System flipped the script, reporting financial gains in 2025 after years of operating losses. UH, in particular, stopped a three-year slide, reporting $192 million in operating income last year.
