CLEVELAND (WJW) — Exclusive video released to the FOX 8 I-Team shows burglars raiding a Cuyahoga County building and stealing bullet proof vests, handcuffs and other equipment.
Two suspects can be seen on security video from the county’s Metzenbaum Center taking the items. According to reports, the burglary took place in the early morning hours of March 9. Equipment used by Cuyahoga County Protective Service officers is stored there. The Metzenbaum Center of the city’s near east side is used for several programs to help juveniles.

“There is an active, ongoing investigation,” said Chief Deputy Aaron Reese. “We are definitely concerned. There have been crimes committed throughout the area with suspects wearing ballistic vests, so obviously that is a huge concern.”
Cuyahoga County Sheriff Deputy officials also state televisions, 2-way radios and pepper spray were also stolen.
