Two Shootings Within Minutes Of Each Other At Opposite Ends Of The City

Within 30 minutes tonight two gunfire incidents occurred, not related to each other.

Around 10:30pm a call went out for an ambulance and police for a man who had shot himself in the face at the Wessex Apartment 1406 West Clifton, across from St. Peter’s Church. Police found the man able to talk, and he was transported to the Metro Health Trauma Center. (This was later described as a suicide attempt.)

Thirty minutes after that call went out, a couple calls came in reporting hearing gun shots near Cove and Clifton. As the police arrived, they encountered a couple witnesses describing what sound like teens/young men. Firing bullets out of a car then running into CVS and or an apartment building nearby…
