Man dies after 5-car crash involving vehicle stolen moments before: police

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A man has died, and another faces charges, including of aggravated vehicular homicide after a crash involving five vehicles in Cleveland Friday evening.

The crash happened at around 5:20 p.m. at West 150th Street and Lorain Avenue.

Police say a 2017 GMC Acadia, believed to have been stolen moments before the crash, was traveling west on Lorain Avenue, well above the speed limit. As it approached the Warren Road and West 150th Street intersection, the vehicle changed lanes, hitting two separate vehicles that were also heading west on Lorain Avenue.

The GMC then went outside the roadway and hit a fire hydrant, according to investigators. One of the two vehicles that was hit by the GMC was pushed into a fourth vehicle that went into the eastbound lane, hitting a 5th vehicle…
