RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Mayor Kim Thomas, in her report issued prior to Tuesday’s (April 28) City Council meeting, told of the significant losses municipalities could face if a measure to eliminate property taxes in Ohio reaches the November ballot, and is then passed.
Speaking about the proposed amendment to abolish property taxes in Ohio, Thomas stated, “Momentum continues to build around this proposal as supporters work toward the July 1 deadline to qualify the issue for the November ballot.
“The effort is being closely watched because of the impact it could have on local governments and public services across the state.”…
