Woman recovering after deadly Cleveland crash, family by her side

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A young woman is recovering after a crash on Cleveland’s west side that killed one man and injured multiple others.

Payton Toombs was in Cleveland from Tennessee with her fiancé for a cornhole tournament when the crash happened last week at Lorain Avenue and West 150th Street. Five people were taken to the hospital. James Cook, 54, did not survive.
