Cleveland, CMSD to redevelop 4 landmark school sites

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Four historic landmark school buildings in Cleveland are available for purchase and redevelopment. But not everyone can make the purchase. Buyers must have a concrete, city-approved plan that matches the needs of the community.

There are a lot of requirements that could hinder the process, but they are also in place to protect neighborhoods from further disinvestment.

“I didn’t understand it because they put new windows in it and then they boarded it up,” said Yvonne Ellison. “We were hoping that they would do something with it eventually.”
