CLEVELAND — Itzhak Perlman will continue his long-standing artistic partnership with The Cleveland Orchestra this summer. The orchestra announced last week that the legendary violinist will return to Blossom Music Center for his first appearance at the venue since 1993.
Perlman, 80, will perform and conduct the orchestra in an all-Beethoven program as part of the Blossom Music Festival on Thursday, July 9.
While the concert will mark Perlman’s first appearance at Blossom in more than three decades, Perlman is far from a stranger to TCO. Their first collaboration came in the mid-1960s, and they have played together at Severance Hall, Blossom and Carnegie Hall.
