(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A tortoise stolen from right out front of the reptile shop where he lived has been returned home and a suspect has been arrested in the theft of the animal.
According to a post by Scales N Tails reptile shop, Howard, a 20-year-old Sulcata tortoise, was in an outdoor pen in front of the reptile shop on Academy Boulevard on Wednesday, June 17 enjoying some fresh air and sunlight. The shop alleged that an unknown suspect grabbed Howard, shoved him in a car, and drove off.
The shop put out a call to the community to be on the lookout for Howard, and the post was shared thousands of times across social media…
