Fire conditions and severe weather are expected for Saturday afternoon

SATURDAY: It will be much hotter today. Highs in the afternoon will be in the 90s and triple digits. Storms are expected in the afternoon across the plains. There is a chance for some to be strong or severe. Large hail up to 2″ and up to 70 mph winds are the main threats. A tornado also can’t be ruled out. Around the I-25 corridor and into the mountains, there is a red flag warning until 10 PM. Gusty winds and hot temperatures are helping to fuel these fire concerns.

SUNDAY: It will cool off a little for Father’s Day. There is a chance of some stronger storms in the afternoon along the Palmer Divide and into the Plains. Most of us stay dry with plenty of sunshine. Highs in the 80s and 90s.

MONDAY: Temperatures will continue to cool down. Some isolated storms are possible in the afternoon. A few could be on the stronger side. Highs in the 70s and 80s…
