(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A kitten was trapped in a storm drain, and Animal Law Enforcement (ALE) jumped into action to save the frightened feline, which had hidden deep within, according to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR).
HSPPR posted on Saturday, June 20, that when ALE Officer Wilson arrived at the pipe, he couldn’t even see the tiny kitten, as it had backed itself out of sight. The officer had to get creative to coax the kitten out of hiding using food and creative maneuvering with his equipment. As soon as the little kitten stepped into position, Officer Wilson safely secured it and pulled it to safety.
The kitten was battling an upper respiratory infection and was unable to see, according to HSPPR, but is now receiving plenty of care from the veterinary team…
