Colorado Springs police search for possible shooting suspect in neighborhood east of Olympic and Paralympic Training Center

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A neighborhood east of downtown Colorado Springs was asked to shelter in place on Saturday.

Around 3:20 p.m., police issued the order for the area of East Willamette Avenue to East Monument Street, between Swope Avenue and Prairie Road. That’s east of downtown Colorado Springs, a few blocks away from the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

The Colorado Springs Police Department told 11 News they were in the area looking for a suspect possibly related to a shooting that they said happened earlier in the day near Uintah and Sunset Road. In that, they said there were no deaths reported…
