(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Sertich Ice Center has reopened on Monday, July 13 following an ice rebuild and facility maintenance project, and the City of Colorado Springs is welcoming the community back with the return of its Learn to Skate program.
Back in June, the City closed the Sertich Ice Center while crews worked to rebuild the ice and perform facility maintenance, with a planned reopening on Monday, July 13. The ice rebuild replaced the facility’s ice surface while allowing staff to complete important maintenance that supported safe, efficient operations and enhanced the skating experience for visitors, according to the City.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Sertich Ice Center and invite both returning and first-time skaters to enjoy the fresh ice,” said Andrew Rummel, parks operations administrator for Sertich Ice Center. “Whether you’re looking for a fun public skate or want to build new skills through Learn to Skate, this is a great time to get on the ice.”
