Lawn care tips for Colorado Springs homeowners during hot, dry summer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs Utilities customers are limited to watering three days per week, before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. But a landscaper says water alone is not enough to keep a lawn healthy during the hot, dry stretch.

John Newbill with Freedom Landscapes said two factors are most critical when it comes to lawn health in summer conditions.

“A lot of times the irrigation is where the help is needed, and the next one is fertilizing and feeding your lawn,” Newbill said.
