(COLORADO SPRINGS) — When officers were responding to a car meet in Memorial Park on Sunday, Aug. 30, they heard gunshots and found a man with gunshot wounds to his chest and right arm, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Police reported that at around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, officers were working an assignment in Memorial Park, in the 1700 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue, when they heard gunshots coming from the gathering. The officers responded to the location and found one man with gunshot wounds to his chest and right arm.
Officers performed emergency first aid on the victim, and he was taken to the hospital and is stable, according to CSPD. The suspect ran from the scene and has not yet been found, but police believe the victim knows his identity…
