Genre-bending multi-hyphenate artist and Denver East High School gradAlex Harvey is home to present an immersive, mythic live performance piece created by his musical folk trio called The ReMemberers at venues throughout Colorado.
“The Firebird” is a 90-minute live retelling of a 1,000-year-old Russian folktale that is having its moment in the pop-culture spotlight: Harvey’s live theater performance will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 1) at e-Town Hall in Boulder and again on Friday (Oct. 2) at the Ent Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs, followed by stops Oct. 3 in Carbondale, Oct. 4 in Paonia, Oct. 6 in Crested Butte and Oct. 11 in Alamosa.
Later this month, the Colorado Symphony will perform Igor Stravinsky’s “The Firebird” as a live collaboration with ballet dancers from the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble from Oct. 23-25 at Boettcher Concert Hall.
