Colorado Man Accused of Opening Fire on Police Allegedly Had Arsenal That Included Multiple Guns and Ballistic Vests

A man who allegedly had a shootout with police in northern Colorado earlier this month had multiple guns, ammunition and ballistic vests in his possession, according to a local media report.

Damian Jackson, a resident of Colorado Springs, was arrested in the town of Windsor on Jan. 7 after shooting at police outside the AmericInn hotel, according to a report by ABC 7 Denver .

Jackson allegedly set off a fire alarm at the hotel before jumping onto a fire truck that had responded to the scene.

Jackson then allegedly exchanged gunfire with responding police officers before he was arrested in front of hotel staff and those staying at the hotel.

No one was injured as a result of the shootout.

Jackson faces multiple charges, including three counts of first-degree attempted murder, ABC 7 reported.
