UPDATE: Chestnut and Fillmore back open after crash

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police and Fire Communications Center (CSPD Communications) posted on social media at 1 p.m. on Tuesday that Chestnut and Fillmore is back open in all directions after an earlier crash.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is on the scene of a crash at North Chestnut and West Fillmore Streets and advised drivers to take alternate routes.

CSFD posted to social media at 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, that it was on the scene of the crash and was working to help a trapped person inside.

Just after noon, CSFD said the person was removed from the truck. Crews said to avoid the area of northbound Chestnut at Fillmore as the crash cleanup continues.
