CSPD: Man passed out in vehicle with fake plates and drugs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers found drugs in a vehicle where a man was passed out behind the wheel in the evening hours of Thursday, Jan. 25.

According to CSPD, on Thursday at around 8:45 officers were called to the 2800 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue near North Circle Drive about a man passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle. When officers interacted with the man, identified as Kenyon Thomas, he allegedly backed into a police vehicle causing minor damage.

When officers investigated, they found the car had fake license plates and that the vehicle was stolen. Thomas was also allegedly found with narcotics and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
