A Colorado woman was arrested after she allegedly framed her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend by using an app to send threatening texts that appeared to be from the woman’s phone.

Kristin Eaton was charged with multiple felonies including criminal impersonation and attempting to influence public servants, after she allegedly led authorities to believe that Lisa Chase was stalking her boyfriend , Landon Ross.

Ross and Chase dated for 20 years before ending their relationship, according to the Denver Gazette .

Since their breakup, both had started new relationships – Ross with Eaton and Chase with Chris Ekstrom, a firefighter.

Chase, a Colorado Springs hairdresser , was shocked when police first showed up while she was helping a client in November 2022.

“It’s pretty awful when you haven’t gone through anything like that and you have no idea what’s going on,” she told KXRM . Chase ended up spending a night in a holding cell and her troubles did not end there.
