Suspect arrested after two injured in stabbing

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man has been arrested after an alleged stabbing happened in the evening of Monday, Jan. 29, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said on Monday, at around 5:30 p.m. officers were called to the 1600 block of Lenmar Drive near South Nevada Avenue and I-25 about a stabbing.

Two people were found on scene with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Stephen Swasey, has been arrested and police said there is no threat to the community.

Swasey is due in El Paso County Court for a virtual advisement hearing on Jan. 30.
