(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man who was found in possession of Nazi and white supremacist materials has been sentenced to 27 months in prison for stockpiling weapons, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
42-year-old Chad Edward Keith maintained properties in both Colorado Springs and Cotopaxi and was arrested in May 2023 after an undercover FBI informant documented Keith’s criminal activities for a year. He was arrested on federal weapons charges for allegedly stockpiling assault weapons and ammunition at his two properties, despite having been convicted of a felony in 2003.

According to court documents, Keith had 11 firearms, including rifles and a shotgun, stored at both his Colorado Springs and Cotopaxi residences. During the execution of search warrants related to this case, federal agents also observed various paraphernalia and propaganda related to white supremacy and Nazism, according to the DOJ.
Inside Keith’s Colorado Springs home, agents found a flyer with pictures of various Congressmen and Senators with images of the Star of David on their foreheads. The placement of the Stars of David was suggestive of firearms bullseye targets, the DOJ said.
