Orphaned bears that were rescued put in artificial den for reintroduction in Colorado

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) rescued two orphaned bear cubs, bringing them back into the wild on February 2. According to an X post by Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Southeast Region, CPW staff placed two orphaned bear cubs in an artificial den on Pikes Peak. The cubs will spend the winter in the den and emerge as wild bears in the spring. Colorado Springs Utilities, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and the Colorado Springs City Council all helped make the rescue happen.
