Gap between ‘unmarried men’ and ‘unmarried women’ is shocking in Colorado city

Single women looking for a single man as a romantic partner may want to head to Colorado Springs, where the gap between the number of unmarried men and unmarried women is one of the highest in the nation.

In Olympic City, USA, there are 125.3 unmarried men per 100 unmarried women – the 7th-highest gap nationwide among 118 major cities included in a recent data analysis conducted by SmartAsset that utilized U.S. Census Bureau data from 2022. It’s also worth noting that Colorado Springs has one of the highest rates of marriage, as well, ranking 6th nationwide with 51 percent of people 15 and older being married, according to SmartAsset.

Elsewhere in Colorado, Aurora had an unmarried men to unmarried women ratio of 119.8 and Denver had a ratio of 110.1.

The highest ‘unmarried male to female’ ratio nationwide was found in Miami, where there are 138.3 unmarried men per unmarried women. This compares to the lowest ratio, found in Birmingham, of 81.9. Meanwhile, major cities of New York City and Chicago have more even ratios of 99.5 and 99.1, respectively.
