A homicide investigation is underway following the discovery of 2 bodies at University of Colorado.

A dormitory at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs was the location where two people were found dead from gunshot wounds, according to the authorities.

It was shortly before six o’clock on Friday morning when the campus dispatch center received a report of gunfire, according to the Colorado Springs police department. It was claimed by the authorities that when they arrived at the dormitory room, they found two people who had died as a result of gunshot wounds.

According to an update that was provided on Friday evening, the police have stated that the incident is not a murder-suicide and that both of the fatalities are being treated as homicides. “We are still pursuing and adhering to investigative leads and will share more details as they arise.”

According to sources who spoke with ABC News, the Colorado Springs police department maintains that the incident is isolated and does not represent any threat to the people in the town.

According to the announcement made by the university spokesperson, the lockdown on campus was lifted on Friday. In spite of the fact that classes were postponed until Monday, the campus was scheduled to be open for a “Day of Healing.”
