Fatal crash involving motorcycle leaves one dead

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3, the crash left one dead.

At 3:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of North 30th Street and Boardwalk Drive, near Centennial Boulevard regarding a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Officers determined the motorcycle was traveling north on 30th Street and had crossed over the center of the roadway striking a vehicle that was heading south.

Members of the Colorado Springs Fire Department and AMR provided medical care to the motorcyclist, however, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on scene.

CSPD said due to the nature of the crash, the Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to assume the investigation.
