(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — A homecoming ceremony will be held next week for 200 soldiers from the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT), 4th Infantry Division, who will be welcomed home after a nine-month deployment to Europe.
According to Fort Carson, the ceremony will be held on Monday, Nov. 4 at the William “Bill” Reed Special Events Center on post.
During their deployment, “…the brigade worked alongside NATO allies and partners to conduct bilateral and multinational training exercises while deterring aggression in the region,” wrote Fort Carson.
“After nine months supporting U.S. European Command and our European allies and partners, our Soldiers are eager to reunite with their friends and Families,” said Col. Brian Gilbert, 3rd ABCT Commander. “We are truly grateful for their resilience and commitment to excellence these past few months.”
According to Fort Carson, all remaining 3rd ABCT units are expected to return home in time for the holidays.
