Man found dead after disturbance near Interquest Parkway identified

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in the homicide investigation from the 11100 block of Cedar Glen View as 27-year-old Dominic Joseph Godinez.

On Oct. 27 just before 1:45 a.m., Colorado Springs police officers responded to a disturbance in the area where they found an adult male dead on the scene.

According to prior Gazette reporting the CSPD’s homicide division took the lead in the investigation, but few other details have emerged in the case.

No further details related to the death have been released in the days since the death. Law enforcement has confirmed that all parties are accounted for at this time, but no arrests have been made.

An obituary for Godinez states that he was born and grew up in Pueblo, but was living in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife, mother and siblings.

“Dom loved watching sports, cooking dinner with his wife, and spending time with his friends. He was so incredibly loved, and his life will forever have an impact on those who knew him,” states the obituary.
