Colorado farm offers free visits to those on healing journey

There might be no better companion on a healing journey than an alpaca with a fluffy mullet or a fuzzy mini Highland cow mix. At least, that’s how Tara Wells feels. She and her husband, Bryan Wells, own Bella Terra Farms, a therapeutic farm 5 miles east of Monument, where a bevy of gifted, rescued and rehomed farm animals provide a healing sanctuary for those working through emotional, psychological or physical conditions. The couple especially welcomes those with special needs who might benefit from time with animals and play therapies, but no one is turned down for a visit.
