COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Snow began falling late Friday afternoon in Colorado Springs as a system bringing sub-zero temperatures moved into Southern Colorado.
Experts at UCHealth said the freezing temperatures will put people at an increased risk of frostbite. They said frostbite happens when tissue starts freezing.
“That’s where you start to see color changes in the fingers and toes so it may look pale, more white, it might look purple, in the most extreme cases, it will turn brown and black,” Dr. Arek Wiktor said…
