Colorado Weather Alert: Up to 14 Inches of Snow and 60 MPH Winds Through Saturday Night

Denver, CO — A powerful winter storm is expected to blanket Colorado’s high country with significant snowfall and high winds through Saturday night, creating hazardous travel conditions and prompting a Winter Weather Advisory.

According to the National Weather Service in Denver, the advisory remains in effect from midnight Friday through midnight Saturday. Areas above 9,000 feet — including Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks — are forecast to receive between 6 and 14 inches of snow, with isolated areas possibly seeing more.
