‘It’s against the law’: Colorado Springs firefighters issue warnings after parked car nearly blocks fire hydrant access

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Firefighters are urging extra vigilance after a parked car nearly blocked access to a fire hydrant Friday morning.

On Murray Boulevard, in a neighborhood near Airport and Academy, Colorado Springs firefighters responded to a house fire that displaced four people and three dogs. Crews were able to respond quickly, according to CSFD, but one hazard nearly prevented them from doing so.

“One of the things that we did experience on this fire was a really hard time getting access to the fire hydrant,” said Ashley Franco as she provided an update from CSFD about this fire…
