Kidnapped teen Aziz Khan safely recovered in Colorado after 7 years

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Co. (Diya TV) – A Colorado teenager kidnapped by his mother in 2017 has been safely recovered after over seven years, all thanks to the efforts of local law enforcement and investigative work. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies located 14-year-old Aziz (Abdul) Khan, who was taken from his parents amid a custody dispute, in an empty residence in Highlands Ranch on February 23.

The search started after deputies, suspicious of two adults operating under false identification, learned that Rabia Khalid and her boyfriend, Elliot Blake Bourgeois, were wanted for kidnapping. The pair had been evading capture since 2017, with the U.S. Marshals Service pursuing them through 11 states. The deputies located the couple by using a morph scanner to verify Khalid’s identity and an active kidnapping warrant for her arrest.

Khalid and Bourgeois were arrested on several charges, including second-degree kidnapping, forgery, and identity theft. Both are being detained on a $1 million bond per person…
