(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, April 1, one person died after a crash on Dublin Boulevard led to a car fire, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
CSPD reported that around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, police were notified about a two-vehicle crash in the 3900 block of Dublin, near Rangewood Drive, in which one of the vehicles immediately caught on fire. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they found that the driver of the burning vehicle had died. The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The Major Crash Team investigated the scene and found that one of the cars was driving eastbound on Dublin at high speeds and was unable to navigate the curve, causing it to jump the median, where it was hit by the second car that was traveling westbound.
