COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -Two men are behind bars after being named suspects in cases of domestic violence in the Pikes Peak region. One resulted in serious injuries, the other resulted in death. Authorities say domestic violence played a role in both of these cases.
On Monday, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was called out for a welfare check on a woman with servere injuries. Deputies told 11 News they believe Nicholas Looper hit and stabbed the woman during a domestic dispute. Looper is being charged with attempted murder.
On Tuesday, Colorado Springs Police were called out to an apartment in Western Colorado Springs, where they say they found Lisa West with at least a gunshot wound. She died on scene. Police say the suspect, Kevin Wells, was arrested by Colorado State Patrol later in the day. According to arrest papers, police state Wells told his father and his employer that he shot his girlfriend during a fight. Wells is being charged with first degree murder…
