DENVER (KDVR) — A 32-year-old man from Elizabeth was given a 25-year prison sentence Monday after he pleaded guilty to felony vehicular assault and felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury in connection with a crash.
Chase Albert Lein pleaded guilty in March and admitted to driving under the influence on April 10, 2024.

That was the same day he ran a red light at the intersection of Chambers Road and Mainstreet in Parker, striking a Hyundai carrying three people. A 12-year-old child was ejected from the vehicle upon impact, even though he was wearing a seat belt, leading to a fractured skull, while his sister suffered severe spinal injuries, according to prosecutors.
