Safety concerns close one of the most popular trails in Colorado Springs

Amid heavy rainfall and the potential for hazardous conditions, the United States Forest Service has made the decision to temporarily shut down Seven Bridges Trail – one of the most popular trails in the Colorado Springs area.

According to a press release on the matter, the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Forest Service has closed the trail from its North Cheyenne Cañon trailhead along Gold Camp Road to the southeast corner of a spot called Jones Park.

Officials have requested that members of the public avoid this area until conditions improve and the closure is lifted, with no expected timeline for that reopening provided. It was noted that updates will be regularly posted on the PSICC alerts page, which can be found here…
