(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Mayor has been discharged from the hospital following a two-night stay for pneumonia and a blocked artery.
According to a press release from the City of Colorado Springs, Mayor Yemi Mobolade was released on Thursday, June 5 from UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central after initially being admitted for severe symptoms from a cold. Tests conducted in the hospital then revealed a more concerning issue.
“What started as a cold quickly escalated to a trip to the ER, where I was diagnosed with double pneumonia,” the Mayor said on his Facebook page. “That alone would have been enough but then came the real shock: tests revealed a major blockage in my main artery. I had zero symptoms. If not for the pneumonia, we would never have discovered it.”…
