Colorado Springs man arrested after runaway child contacts mother to say she’s being held against her will

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs police arrested a man on a number of charges, including child sex assault, early Friday morning after officials said a runaway child contacted her mother saying she was being held against her will.

According to an online police blotter post, police received a report just after 12:30 a.m. that a runaway child was contacting her mom over the internet, trying to let her know her location. Police said in that contact with her mother, the child described being held against her will and said there was another juvenile with her as well.

Colorado Springs police said officers from multiple units across the city began a search for the juveniles, and they were safely located at an apartment on Victoria Street, near Fountain Boulevard and South Nevada Avenue…
