(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that officers responded to an armed carjacking on Sunday, July 6, around 2:15 a.m., in which the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and ordered him out of his car.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the scene in the 2700 block of West Colorado Avenue, near South 27th Street, they learned that the suspect had threatened the victim with a gun, forcing him to abandon his car and leave all of his belongings inside the vehicle. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and was not injured during the incident.
Around an hour later, officers located the victim’s car driving northbound in the 700 block of South 8th Street, near Lower Gold Camp Road, according to CSPD.
