(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A local non-profit hosted a far-from-typical breakfast on Thursday, July 10 in Downtown Colorado Springs.
The “Off The Street” breakfast raises money for The PLACE, which is an organization that helps young people struggling with homelessness. Every year, the event is held under the Colorado Avenue bridge, where many of the people The PLACE serves are forced to spend the night. More than 750 people were expected to attend.
Founded in 2000 as Urban Peak Colorado Springs, The PLACE is a non-profit organization that ignites the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.
