Severe storms with hail, wind and tornadoes Wednesday

  • Scattered severe storms Wednesday with all modes possible.
  • Another severe weather threat Thursday.
  • A bit drier and warm this weekend.

WEDNESDAY: Storms form early in the afternoon over the mountains, slowly moving east. Some will be severe with damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph, golf ball sized hail, urban flooding and even an isolated tornado or two. The main risks are along the central and northern I-25 corridor, as well as over the southeastern Plains later this evening. Highs in the 80s and low 90s.

THURSDAY: More showers and storms during the afternoon. Some could be strong to severe again with wind, hail and heavy rain. Cool with highs in the 70s and 80s…
