Colorado Springs Man Convicted on Drug Trafficking and Firearms Offenses

In a recent legal development, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announced the conviction of Nathan James Meek on multiple charges, including drug trafficking and firearms offenses. Meek, residing in Colorado Springs, faced a jury trial that resulted in his guilt on seven counts – drug possession with intent to distribute and firearm possession by a felon among them.

The evidence presented at trial highlighted Meek’s involvement in the sale of substantial quantities of dangerous substances such as fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. Arrested on January 18, 2024, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, an investigation uncovered both a firearm and drugs in Meek’s possession, including 10 fentanyl pills, and 6.2 grams of methamphetamine.

A follow-up search warrant carried out at Meek’s apartment uncovered even larger amounts of illegal substances, including more than two kilograms of methamphetamine and several hundred grams of other controlled drugs, along with additional firearms. Investigators also found records of Meek’s drug activities on his cellphone, which contained a detailed log of drug-related communications dating from the New Year up to his arrest…
