Repeat offender in Colorado Springs found guilty on numerous federal drug trafficking, firearm charges

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – A Colorado Springs repeat offender that local police had previously called “violent” was found guilty on numerous federal drug and firearm charges on Friday.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado, on July 18, a jury found Nathan James Meek guilty of the following charges:

  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon
  • Conspiracy to distribute controlled substances
  • Possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said that, according to evidence presented at trial, Meek had sold a large amount of narcotics in Colorado Springs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana.
