(COLORADO/MISSOURI) — The Colorado Springs Police Department is working with a Sheriff’s Office in Missouri after a vehicle was found to be connected to a homicide in Colorado Springs.
On Thursday morning, July 24, a deputy with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri stopped a car after receiving an automated license plate reader (ALPR) hit on the vehicle’s license plate. The ALPR hit indicated that the license plate displayed on the car was stolen.
The deputy approached the vehicle and contacted a 42-year-old woman. The woman gave the deputy an Arkansas ID and told him that her driver’s license was suspended. The deputy requested that she exit the car, and she opened the driver’s door. At that time, she refused to exit the car, put the vehicle in gear, and sped away…
