(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that a call came in around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, in which the caller claimed to have been shot. The disturbance turned out to be a confrontation between a woman’s former and current boyfriends.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the scene in the 300 block of North Murray Boulevard, near Platte Avenue, they found that during the disturbance, the woman’s ex-boyfriend, identified as 23-year-old Corbin Rivera, had threatened the new boyfriend with a handgun and then fired the gun into the ground.
Rivera was charged with felony menacing, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and prohibited use of weapons. He was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center…
