Man pleads guilty in deadly 2024 Colorado Springs carjacking

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A man facing charges related to the death of a woman in an April 2024 carjacking has pleaded guilty to murder.

Nathaniel Buchmann previously entered a “not guilty” plea last year in the death of 62-year-old Dorothy King, but in court on Thursday, he changed that plea.

According to police, on the afternoon of April 17, 2024, King was in the parking lot at her workplace, Bingo World, when Buchmann attacked her. While trying to fend him off, King was flung out of her own car and suffered fatal injuries. She died at the scene despite life-saving measures by first responders.
