EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The Cimarron Hills Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request for the Elk Fire burning near Meeker, Colorado on Sunday night.
Cimarron Hills Fire Chief Andrew York told 11 News that Engine 1311 left at 7 p.m. Sunday night. Three firefighters are part of the team. According to Chief York, less than an hour later, the incident command team advised the Cimarron Hills team to cancel. Those firefighters are now on their way home.
